How to Disable or Turn Off Dell Touchpad in Windows 10


Touchpad are very easy and comfortable to use in Laptop. But, they may be annoying while using keyboard. Since, the touchpad is very sensitive any touch on the touchpad while typing a mail can take the pointer on different direction. Hence, I always keep my touchpad off while writing an important mail or article. If required, you can use a Mouse which can replace the touchpad. But, how to turn off or disable the touchpad? Since, I am using a Dell laptop I can share how you can easily disable the Touchpad.

Step 1

First, you have visit the Setting->Devices->Mouse & Touchpad OR you can visit Control Panel\Hardware and Sound, in this section click Mouse in the Devices and Printers (as shown in the image below).

Step 2

Once you click the Mouse & Touchpad, you will get a window as shown below. Now, just go in the bottom and click Additional mouse Options.

Step 3

Once you Click the Additional Mouse Options, you will get a window as below. Now, just click “Click to change Dell Touchpad Setting”.





Step 4
Now, you will reach the below black window. Here, you have options for Touchpad On/Off, sensitivity and the gestures. So, now just click the Touchpad On/Off button, to disable the touchpad. Now, you will see your touchpad will not work and you can easily write your email and articles.
